Silhouette Literary and Art Magazine is currently looking for Virginia Tech students to apply for the 2018-2019 staff. Applications are due by the 13th of September, 2019 at 11:59 pm. Below are the positions we are looking for and their descriptions. Click the position title to access the application. 

 

SOCIAL MEDIA REPRESENTATIVE

Social Media Representatives are in charge of running our social media which consists of our Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and our website. We are looking for individuals who are able to consistently produce content and manage these platforms in order to achieve a wider reach on  Virginia Tech's campus.

 

DESIGNER

Silhouette designers are charged with the task of creating all of our promotional content which includes, but is not limited to our merchandise, the layout of the magazine, submission campaign material, and event flyers. We are looking for individuals who have comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications, specifically InDesign. 

 

PHOTOGRAPHY EDITOR 

Photography editors are in charge of campaigning for submissions and selecting the highest quality photos to be featured in the magazine. Photography editors should have background knowledge in different photographic techniques and styles.

 

BLOGGER

Bloggers write weekly for Silhouette's blog. As a blogger, individuals have creative liberties to write about their passions, their experiences, and creative events happening on Virginia Tech's campus. The goal of our blog is to engage students with weekly content that is relevant to their college experience. 

 

ART AND DESIGN EDITOR

Art and Design editors are in charge of campaigning for submissions and selected the highest quality art and design pieces to be featured in the magazine. Art and Design Editors should have background knowledge in different art and design techniques and styles.

 

PROSE EDITOR

Prose editors are in charge of campaigning for submissions and selecting the highest quality writings to be featured in the magazine. Prose editors should have background knowledge in different prose styles and techniques.
